Delcy Rodríguez: Bank of England and Guaidó designed a plot to despoil Venezuela of its gold

The vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced that Juan Guaidó, the US government, and all those who participated in the “criminal” contract to intervene in the country intended to despoil Venezuela of its gold:

“The Bank of England in collusion with white-collar criminals such as Guaidó have decided to make a plot to keep Venezuela’s gold, the nation’s public patrimony”, denounced the Executive Vice President.

From Miraflores Palace in Caracas, Rodríguez indicated that Venezuela currently has gold withheld by the Bank of England, due to coercive measures imposed by the United States Government and to which England has joined:

“Guaidó, in collusion with white-collar lawyers and in collusion with José Ignacio Hernández (attorney for Guaidó), have decided to make a plot to keep the gold of Venezuela (…) That gold belongs to the heritage of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, it cannot be seized, that’s how it is in our Constitution”, said Rodríguez.

In this sense, Rodríguez indicated that the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed to take to the International Criminal Court those who from the Bank of England want to appropriate the gold of the Venezuelan people.

She further denounced that the Bank of England “intends to be the rector of depository interests. No, sir, you are a depositary entity, limit yourself to that”.

“The mercenary raid of May 3 was intended to despoil the Venezuelan people of its resources, as happened in Libya in 2008”, said Rodríguez.

On the other hand, the Vice President stressed that: “This Thursday a hearing will be held in the English courts, we expect the greater adherence of these courts to legality, for the laws of international financial markets to be respected.”
