The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, reported that more than 131,000 leaders were nominated for the upcoming elections on May 25, through grassroots assemblies held throughout the country.

Cabello also emphasized that the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP) actively participated in the assemblies prior to the May 25 elections, adding that more than 30,000 people were nominated for various positions, all in accordance with the regulations.
In this regard, he explained that 54% of the candidates are women, 46% are men, and 15.48% are under 35 years of age. He emphasized that 21,648 are candidates for governorships.
For his part, Pedro Infante, deputy to the National Assembly for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), emphasized that through the CC200 application, each of the community leaders uploaded information and examples of the methods, organizational forms, and even a technological platform they have been strengthening.
During President Nicolás Maduro’s 74th program, the leader of the March 10 Blocks community in La Guaira state, added that 59 people attended the assemblies in the area and elected their candidates, which emphasizes the organized, participatory, and leading role of the people.
