People’s Power has executed 97 percent of the resources assigned in 2024, according to the Minister of People’s Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, in the “Vía Alterna” (Alternate Way) program, hosted by journalist Isbemar Jiménez:
“The People’s Power is 100 percent active. In 2024, various community problems were resolved with the transfer of resources; the Mayors who have done a good job have managed to execute 78%, the Governors 85% and the People’s Power more than 97% of the resources assigned by the Federal Government Council,” Prado explained.
For the First National Popular Consultation 2025, which will take place on February 2, the Minister explained that 36,685 projects have been submitted this year:
“6,451 are projects related to water, 5,136 to habitat improvements, 4,681 road projects, 4,160 electricity projects, 3,945 education projects, 3,127 health projects, 2,129 sports projects. In short, there are 7 projects submitted by each circuit and of these, we are going to choose 5,334, but the rest of the project proposals will become the Concrete Action Agenda that the Communes will be implementing,” explained the Minister for Communes.
He took advantage of the space on Venezuelan National Radio to invite all the people to participate in the First National Popular Consultation 2025, a method devised by President Nicolás Maduro to execute the National Budget and which has been legitimized because it is the continuation of the project of the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez.
