«The Supreme Court of Justice in its Electoral Chamber, after doing a technical, scientific, professional, judicial work, based on the laws as the Judicial Power of the Nation, has issued a historic and forceful sentence. Holy word, let there be peace, absolute respect for the Public Powers!» said Maduro.
President Maduro, highlighting the importance of justice as a fundamental pillar of democracy, urged to continue «walking the path of peace, work, national unity, dialogue, present and future consensus,» emphasizing the need to respect the Constitution and the rights of the Venezuelan people.
«I respect the right to peace, national sovereignty, justice, and through justice continue walking the path of peace, work, national unity, dialogue and present and future consensus,» stressed the head of State regarding the sentence issued by the highest Venezuelan court.
Maduro, during the act with the people of La Guaira, in the Bolívar-Chávez square in La Guaira, expressed his support for the proposal made in the National Assembly to reform the electoral laws, excluding from participation those who do not respect the fundamental principles of the nation:
«I agree with the proposal that has emerged in the National Assembly to reform all electoral laws and to prohibit those who do not recognize the laws, the Public Powers, the Constitution, from participating in electoral processes. And anyone who intends to impose a fascist regime”, said the president.
