Maduro: Homeland Congress will be decisive for consolidating National independence

During his speech at the Homeland Congress, chapter of the Great Mission Housing Venezuela (GMVV), which took place on Saturday in the “Poliedro de Caracas” venue, the President of the Republic, Nicolas Maduro, said that the Homeland Congress in 2016 will be decisive for consolidating the National Independence and the Bolivarian socialism.
“Without exaggerating, I can tell you that of the Homeland Congress this year will depend the future of the Independence and the Bolivarian Revolution for the years to come, because 2016 is crucial for the continuation of the National Independence, the Bolivarian socialism and the project of Hugo Chavez”, he said in a joint radio and television broadcast.
He urged the people to generate new dynamics of struggle, of work and construction under the framework of the Homeland Plan left to us by Commander Hugo Chavez.
It is noteworthy that the GMVV was created by Commander Hugo Chavez as a social policy to address, firstly, to the Venezuelan families who had lost their homes after the heavy rainfalls that happened in the country in late 2010 and early 2011.
Subsequently the mission was extended to the rest of the Venezuelan population who, due to the speculation in the housing market, had not been able to acquire their own roofs. The social program, five years after its creation, has built and delivered more than 1,048,000 worthy houses to an equal number of families.
