Venezuela and China strengthen educational ties

The Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, participated this Thursday in a symposium at the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), where the importance of Venezuela and the Asian giant working mutually to strengthen the educational system was highlighted.

The Venezuelan Chancellor, accompanied by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania, Tatiana Pugh, stated that during the activity he spoke with his Chinese counterparts “about the relevance of student exchange and scholarships in creating a future of integration and multipolarity.”

The visit of the Venezuelan delegation to China is part of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries, which were established on June 28, 1974, and began with minimal commercial and energy cooperation until 1999, with the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, acquired an important strategic character.

At the 17th China-Venezuela High-Level Joint Commission, held last September 2023 were signed 31 new bilateral agreements, which consolidate this alliance to a new level.
