Rodriguez: The biggest challenge of NAM is to preserve the future of its peoples


“The greatest challenge of the Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM) is to preserve the right to the future of our countries, to preserve the welfare of our peoples,” expressed this Thursday the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Delcy Rodriguez, while presiding over the plenary session of Foreign Ministers of the 17th summit of this organization.
During her speech she reiterated that the 120 countries that make up the movement are facing permanent challenges due to concentrating a 55 percent of the world population and the largest energy reserves in the world, however, she said she felt assured on that “We can be a great force against the great dares and challenges of humanity “.
” Our movement has a goal, which is peace, the universal balance, the sovereign equality of the States (…) Here at this summit is concentrated the immense possibility of South-South cooperation”, she said.
The Summit of the Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM) will be held until Sunday, September 18 in Nueva Esparta state.
