On Wednesday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting with the former president of Spain, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, at the Presidential Palace of Miraflores, Caracas.
The meeting was attended by the Chancellor of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and the mayor of Caracas, Jorge Rodríguez, who is a member of the commission appointed by the National Government for peace talks with the political opposition.
Rodríguez Zapatero is part of a group of accompaniment of the dialogue process convened by the Bolivarian Government, in which also serve as international companions Monsignor Claudio Maria Celli, special envoy of Pope Francis; The Secretary General of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), Ernesto Samper, and the former Presidents Leonel Fernandez (Dominican Republic) and Martín Torrijos (Panama).
The next plenary of the dialogue for peace is scheduled for December 6. There will be evaluated the development of the four technical panels under discussion: 1.) Peace, Respect for the Rule of Law and National Sovereignty; 2.) Truth, Justice and Reparation of Victims; 3.) Economic-Social scope and Generation of Confidence and 4.) Electoral Schedule.
