The Sectoral Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, Remigio Ceballos Ichazo, denounced this May 11, an act of sabotage that occurred a little more than 100 meters away from the warehouses of the National Electoral Council in the Filas de Mariche parish, Miranda state, where it was reported a fire:
“This is an act of terrorism and we are starting investigations. This is a security zone and we are going to take severe measures, leveraged on article 52 of the Law against Organized Crime and Financing of Terrorism, which dictates up to 30 years in prison for anyone who attempts terrorist acts against the Homeland,” said Vice President Ichazo.

In this sense, the authority also indicated that the situation is controlled and reported to the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, who gave instructions to act immediately, so security in the area will be reinforced.
