President Maduro warns about new threats from the US to the country

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, warned this Friday about new aggressions and threats from the United States against Venezuela.

The president, in an audio sent through his WhatsApp channel, formulates the denounce by analogizing the meaning of Good Friday:

The American empire chose Good Friday to threaten Venezuela,” he said.

Today they threaten to drive nails from the sanctions of the blockade of economic aggression against the hands, feet and innocent body of our country,” he warned.

The Head of State said that the people of Venezuela are a blessed people, and made a call “to teach them a lesson” from spirituality.

From their arrogance, believing themselves to be the owners of the world (the United States), they believe themselves to be the owners of our people. We will always have to give a lesson from the rebellious spirit of the redeeming Christ to those who harm with their evil. They believe they can destroy our hope, our spiritual strength,” stressed the President.

They couldn’t defeat Christ the Redeemer, they couldn’t defeat the people of Christ, we multiplied by millions and the new era began, the era of Christ that we are living in,” concluded the head of state.

On Thursday, Matthew Miller, a spokesman for the US State Department, said Washington will not renew licenses that ease sanctions on Venezuela’s energy sector when they expire in April.
