Bolivarian Government and People’s Power hand in hand have promoted the economic recovery of Venezuela

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, praised during an interview with journalist Ignacio Ramonet, the great achievements of his government that led to economic recovery in 2022, hand in hand with the People’s Power.

In this sense, the Head of State pointed out the activation of the 18 engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda, the establishment of a new Venezuelan exchange system and the implementation of measures to protect the entire industrial, agricultural production and banking system as a set of public policies to achieve economic recovery:

“Venezuela, which depended in 85% of the importation of all its food, today produces 94% of the food that goes to the Venezuelan homes, a product of hundreds of entrepreneurs, of rural producers who have started working, and their products they reach the main markets of the country”, he stressed.

He also pointed out that this was a difficult achievement since Venezuela stopped receiving 232 billion dollars as a consequence of the 927 unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States government on the Venezuelan people.

Finally, he recalled that the economy was based on oil income, for which national production was almost non-existent, which further aggravated the economic situation as a result of the imperial blockade.
