President Maduro delivers 10,000 Trabuco Productivo CLAP kit

Based on the debate and consultation assemblies of the Seven Transformations (7T) carried out in the country, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, delivered 10,000 Trabuco Productivo (“Productive Trebuchet”) CLAP kits, which seek to provide support and advice to the producers of the country.

From the Bolivarian Dome of the Olympic Village of San Juan de los Morros, in Guárico state, the President reported that these kits come to guarantee basic tools for the 46,000 CLAP (Local Supply and Productive Committees), towards reaching 27,000 or more that apply the P for productivity.”

In this sense, Jhoana Carrillo, Minister for Urban Agriculture, pointed out that this kit consists of inputs, fertilizers, seeds, planting tools (depending on the area or region where each CLAP is located), among other equipment.

Likewise, she specified “that it is the communities who nominate the producers and space, to later assign the kit and technical support.”

In this regard, the Dignitary insisted on the need to support producers with logistics, technology, and technique “to grow more and more, sow and produce.”

Last year we reached 46,510 CLAP, benefiting 7,600,000 families, of which 17,996 are productive. This year the goal is to reach 27,000 productive CLAPs,” she stated.

Self-training booklet:

In this order of ideas, Castillo highlighted that the Trabuco CLAP kit contains a self-training booklet which provides advice to the producer through a QR that can be scanned, while allowing monitoring and evaluation in the month of July. the production plan for each harvest.

Likewise, this evaluation will recognize productive CLAPs that benefit their community.

Finally, the Head of State indicated that “if all governors and mayors started to finance Trabucos CLAP we could reach the goal of 30 thousand productive CLAPs. I ask for that support from you,” he urged.
