This Friday, President Nicolás Maduro announced the incorporation of the Seventh Vertex of the Great Mission Venezuela Women: The environmentalist vertex:
“The green, environmentalist and animalist vertex, joins the Great Mission Venezuela Women,” said the national leader during the event on the occasion of International Women’s Day from the National Pantheon, to where were transferred the symbolic remains of heroines Josefa Joaquina Sánchez and Eulalia Ramos.
This new component is added to the other six that make up this Great Mission launched on October 25, 2023 for the integral protection of Venezuelan women: 1) protection of the health and life of women; 2) education for women’s empowerment; 3) female independent economic subject; 4) eradication of gender violence; 5) leading and participatory woman; 6) communication system and women’s culture.
“Now it has been my turn, for my spiritual happiness and satisfaction, following the legacy of Commander Chávez, to have founded the Great Mission Venezuela Women, the first great mission dedicated solely and exclusively to Venezuelan women,” highlighted the head of state.
Expand organizational structures:
The national leader reported that so far 103,000 grassroots territorial committees of women have been formed throughout the country. “We are going to 200,000, 300,000 and more. “The woman organized and empowered in her grassroots committee, in her community, in her street,” he said.
Likewise, the head of state emphasized that “Venezuela needs a new, great and powerful women’s movement that respects sectoral and territorial diversity, where all existing movements can continue to exist.”
He also announced a great assembly for next April 9 “to establish a new movement that I dare to call the Josefa Joaquina Sánchez Unitary and Diverse Women’s Movement,” directed the president.
