Venezuela in solidarity with Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and Belize in the face of losses due to Hurricane Eta

This Friday “Venezuela stands in solidarity with the peoples of Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala and Belize for the painful human and material losses, after the passage of Hurricane Eta”, expressed the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs (MPPRE), Jorge Arreaza, through his account in the Twitter social network.

He also added that the Bolivarian Government makes available its capacities for the attention of risks and humanitarian assistance.

Tropical Cyclone Eta originated near the coast of Quintana Roo, in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula on October 28, and considered the second strongest hurricane registered in November, has so far left hundreds of people affected in Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama and Belize.

According to the Mexican Meteorological Service, on Wednesday Eta weakened to a tropical depression with sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour, in its displacement towards the extreme west of the Caribbean Sea, as reports Telesur in its web site.
