I reject the anti-Venezuelan xenophobic campaign of the regional right wing

“I reject the anti-Venezuelan xenophobic campaigns of the regional right wing, of the international right wing and of the world press against the Venezuelans”.

This was expressed by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, instructing that the embassies and consulates of the country in the world, provide support to Venezuelans abroad.

During the press conference held in the Simón Bolívar Hall at Miraflores Palace, he explained that this campaign against Venezuelans is fueled by the rightwing allies of the stateless oligarchy and dismissed the number they have wanted to position on the number of emigrants of the Homeland of the Liberator Simón Bolívar.

“The number is much less than the number that are trying to position some Presidents of the anti-Venezuelan right wing group called the Lima Group, because they try to present to the media that there is a mass exodus”.

He recalled that one of the countries with the highest number of emigrants is Colombia, which has 10 million citizens outside the New Granadean nation. Only in Venezuela are living 5,600,000 Colombians.

“Those who have decided to leave the country are in all their rights and in full freedom to do so”, said the Head of State and Government, indicating that “Venezuela will always be their land and the best country in the world”.

“May know all Venezuelans who listen to us abroad, that they have their land here, in here they have a people, in here they have their family, in here they have our Venezuela, an incomparable country in human warmth and in solidarity (…)”.

He also sent the following message: “Lift your forehead and defend, wherever you are, in any part of the world, your dignity and respect for our condition as children of the Liberator Simón Bolívar and this beautiful country called Venezuela.”
