The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, called on the people to join the initiative by Miranda state of a popular consultation, and asked the Executive to take it to the entire national territory, for the selection of 4,500 projects corresponding to the same amount of communes and communal circuits.
The head of state proposed that this election could be held on April 21 and assured that the resources are available for the Venezuelan people.
This call comes after the governor of Miranda state, Héctor Rodríguez, explained that in the entity the inhabitants, through consultation and popular organization, manage each project that is proposed, including in that effort the administration of resources:
“In this complex society we have to build a new State,” declared President Maduro (…) I have a talk that I get into there and I want that money to go directly to the projects of the communal councils and every extra talk that we get, directly for popular projects” declared President Maduro.
For his part, the Minister of People’s Power for Communes and Social Movements, Guy Vernáez, indicated that they have been preparing the stage for this call that will be carried out with the consultation system used in Miranda state.
