“The Congress of the New Era was born as part of the 3R.Nets: Resist, Rebirth and Revolution. There are the three Rs more valid than ever, alive to move towards a new era, towards a humanist society, of equals, democratic, free, in peace, in coexistence”.
This was stated by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, from the Acoustic Shell of the Generalísimo “Francisco de Miranda” Park located in Miranda state, during a meeting with social movements in defense of Essequibo.
He asserted that Venezuela is going through a new era where all the social forces of the collective movements must be articulated, while urging Venezuelans to “empower themselves and contribute their efforts to the total recovery of the country (…) in the construction of a new Venezuela. Beyond political parties, beyond acronyms, beyond political colors.”
Likewise, he pointed out that to date the Congress of the New Era is a “beautiful reality” that has held 1,800 sociopolitical and cultural assemblies, in addition to more than 43 social movements and 264 communities of the cultural, political and social life of Venezuela.
In this regard, he pointed out that thanks to the organization of the People’s Power, the different sectors have been strengthened, thus guaranteeing the economic and social recovery of the country:
“The sanctions have not stopped us (…) we have learned the great method of doing much more with little, of doing something in order to give birth to solutions and not allowing the worst of blockades, which is mental blockade. There is no worse public official than the one who submits to mental self-blocking and says “I can’t,” stressed the President.
