New Humanitarian Aid shipments will arrive in Venezuela in the coming days

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported that more aircraft with technical assistance and medical supplies donated from other countries will arrive in the country this week in order to combat Covid-19 in Venezuela.

“This week will arrive more planes, with new material,” said the Head of State this Sunday, in a broadcast by Venezolana de Television from Miraflores Palace in Caracas, after the meeting of the Presidential Commission for the Prevention and Control of the monitoring of the Covid-19 for evaluation and monitoring of sanitary and epidemiological measures.

In his speech, he thanked Venezuela for the support received amidst this situation, from the United Nations (UN), the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the International Red Cross, as well as countries like Russia, China and Cuba.

In his statements, he also reported that two new Covid-19 cases were registered in the country in the last 24 hours, for a total of 325 infected people.
