This NOV-06 begins electoral campaign on consultative referendum

Starting on Monday, November 6, will begin the electoral campaign on the consultative referendum in defense of Guayana Esequiba throughout the national territory, called by the National Electoral Council (CNE) and scheduled for Sunday, December 3.

The announcement was made by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who detailed that the journey, which aims to promote awareness, organization and participation of Venezuelans, will extend until Friday, December 1:

“The people are going to the streets in mobilization to prepare for a historic and transcendental decision,” he emphasized, pointing out that the coordination of the Campaign Command will be in charge of the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.

In this regard, he instructed the members of the Campaign Command “to deploy with our steering wheel” to tour the country and summon the people to the great cause of the Homeland, which is the defense of Venezuela’s historical rights over the Essequibo.

The Head of State announced that community approaches are underway to debate – together with Venezuelans – the five questions posed in the consultative referendum.

“Attention, patriotic men and women, I am addressing you: it is a cause of the Homeland, we are going to defend the historical and legal truth,” he stressed.
