20,694,124 Venezuelans enabled to vote in consultative referendum

At the headquarters of the National Electoral Council, in Caracas, the president of the institution, Elvis Amoroso, regarding the upcoming Consultative Referendum on the Essequibo Territory, indicated that, on December 3 “the number of voters authorized to vote in the referendum It is 20,694,124 Venezuelans, out of a total of 21,027,120 voters, according to the cut of registered voters in the National Electoral System carried out on October 22, 2023.

Amoroso clarified that this is a national election and the registry includes foreigners who live in the country, but who can only participate in regional elections.

The electoral infrastructure is made up as follows: 24 federal entities, 335 municipalities, 1,141 parishes, 28,027 polling stations, and the total number of voting centers will be 15,857 throughout the country:
