Guayana Esequiba is of Venezuela and its limit is the Essequibo River

Venezuela has never, ever granted to Guyana the territory of Guyana Essequiba,” stressed Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, categorically rejecting the infamous and offensive statements by the authorities of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, in the face of the insistent refusal to dialogue. Diplomacy, and the threat of an escalation to a large conflict, promoted by the United States Southern Command.

The statement was referred to by Rodríguez through a publication on her account on the X ITwitter) social network, by reaffirming the position of the Bolivarian Government of Venezuela for the compromise to defend the sovereignty of the country over that territory before the corresponding stances.

In that sense, she reiterated that Venezuela remains firm in the defense of the territory of Guayana Esequiba, and its people will attend the consultative process on December 3, 2023 in perfect national union.

Five transcendental questions:

– Do you agree to reject by all means, in accordance with the law, the line fraudulently imposed by the Paris Arbitration Award of 1899, which seeks to deprive us of our Guayana Esequiba?

– Do you support the 1966 Geneva Agreement as the only valid legal instrument to reach a practical and satisfactory solution for Venezuela and Guyana regarding the controversy over the territory of Guayana Esequiba?

– Do you agree with Venezuela’s historical position of not recognizing the Jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice to resolve the territorial controversy over Guayana Esequiba?

– Do you agree to oppose, by all legal means, Guyana’s claim to unilaterally, illegally and in violation of international law, dispose of a sea pending delimitation?

– Do you agree with the creation of the Guayana Esequiba state and the development of an accelerated plan for comprehensive care for the current and future population of that territory that includes, among others, the granting of Venezuelan citizenship and identity card, in accordance with the Agreement of Geneva and international law, consequently incorporating said state on the map of Venezuelan territory?
