“At this time the (penitentiary) center is under absolute control of the State, after dismantling a conspiracy center used by organized crime networks against the people of Venezuela,” he said.
The statements were made from the same site of the operation, where more than 11,000 police and military personnel acted to dismantle the various mafias that existed within the penitentiary center. According to the information, systems of tunnels, gambling dens, brothels, extortion and money laundering centers were found, in addition to seizing weapons, some made manually, and abundant ammunition, among other illegal and irregular activities:
“It is a great liberation operation, guaranteeing human rights in a total, successful, impeccable, clean manner,” said the senior official, who stressed that the entire population deprived of liberty, who was kidnapped by these mafias, will go to prison. in other prisons, after regularization and order was restored.
“The people of Aragua and Venezuela will be able to sleep peacefully because Tocorón has been liberated. The Bolivarian Government guarantees the right to life and social peace,” reaffirmed the Admiral in Chief.
In the liberation operation acted various citizen security organizations and bodies, including the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), the Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistic Investigation Corps (CICPC) and members of the intelligence and counterintelligence organizations of the State.
