COVID: Venezuela reports 835 new cases this Tuesday

Venezuela registered this Tuesday a total of 834 cases of community transmission and one international case of Covid-19 , to reach a total record of 835 new infections, while the total number of infections rose to 74,363, of which 64,200 have fully recovered, which is equivalent to an 86 percent of the cases.

The information was released by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, through her account on the Twitter social network, at the end of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19.

Regarding the cases of community transmission, she explained that they focused on:

Capital District: 151 new cases in 20 of the 22 parishes of the capital city, concentrating the largest number of cases in: El Valle with 28, Sucre (Catia) with 25, and Altagracia with 13 infections, among others.

By state:

Miranda: 150 new cases

Yaracuy: 80 new cases

Táchira: 77 new cases

Carabobo: 49 new cases

Cojedes: 44 new cases

Merida: 38 new cases

Bolívar: 38 new cases

Anzoátegui: 36 new cases

Sucre: 29 new cases

Barinas: 26 new cases

Zulia: 25 new cases

Aragua: 25 new cases

La Guaira: 21 new cases

Lara: 16 new cases

Amazonas: 9 new cases

Falcón: 7 new cases

Portuguesa: 6 new cases

Trujillo: 4 new cases

Monagas: 2 new cases

Delta Amacuro: 1 new case.

On her behalf, she indicated that the only imported case is coming from Brazil.

She also pointed out that, as of this Monday, there are 9,542 active cases, of which 5,924 are in hospitals, 3,229 are in Integral Diagnostic Centers (CDI) and 389 in private clinics.

Vice President Rodríguez also regretted reporting the death of seven people due to the COVID-19 infection in the last hours, raising the number of fatalities to 621.

She explained the deaths were: two women, 68 and 57 years old, and an 86-year-old man from Apure state; a 71-year-old woman and a 62-year-old man from the Capital District; a 68-year-old woman from Guárico state, and a 90-year-old woman from Miranda state.

Finally, she added: “Pres. @ NicolasMaduro reported today that the world already exceeds one million deaths from the virus. This Commission works tirelessly in conjunction with the Scientific Team to stop the chain of infections in our country, also guaranteeing treatments to the people”, wrote Delcy Rodríguez in her latest tweet.
