Executive decreed three days of national mourning for physical departure of Fidel Castro


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, decreed this Saturday three days of mourning due to the physical departure of leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander Fidel Castro, an example of dignity for the peoples.
“The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela decrees three days of national mourning to honor the memory and the eternal legacy of Commander Fidel Castro,” said the Venezuelan President in a statement issued by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
Castro was born in Birán, a town in the former province of Oriente, of present-day Holguin, on August 13, 1926. His leadership is acknowledged throughout the world for his struggle against imperialism.
“Venezuela had in Fidel Castro the greatest, solidarity and affection of the friends; A teacher and a guide who designed, together with Commander Hugo Chavez, the new architecture of regional integration, based on solidarity, complementarity, fair treatment and human vision, “said the statement.
