Venezuelan head of state held meeting with the CCP secretary in Shandong

Within the framework of the historic visit made by the Venezuelan head of State, Nicolás Maduro Moros, to the People’s Republic of China, this Monday he held a meeting with Lin Wu, secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCP) of Shandong and president of the Permanent Committee of the Provincial People’s Assembly of that city.

The meeting held in the Chinese city of Shandong is held with the purpose of strengthening ties of strategic cooperation under the principles of mutual respect and solidarity, as well as to share experiences in the political, economic and social spheres.

Lin Wu is a Chinese politician who served as secretary of the CCP in the Shanxi Province, was governor of Shanxi, vice governor and head of the Organization Department of the CCP in Jilin Province. He has served as secretary of the CCP since December 2022.

Wu is accompanied by the Chinese delegation, Lan Hu, Chinese ambassador to Venezuela, Qiu Xiaoqi, special representative of the Chinese Government for Latin American Affairs, Zhang Haibo, member of the Standing Committee and general secretary of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Shandong Communist Party of China, among other authorities.

Meanwhile, the official delegation of Venezuela was represented by Cilia Flores de Maduro, first combatant woman and deputy to the National Assembly (AN); Delcy Rodríguez, Executive Vice President of the Republic; Gabriela Jiménez, vice president for Science, Technology, Education and Health; Pedro Tellechea, Minister for Petroleum; Wilmar Castro Soteldo, Minister for Agriculture and Lands, among others.
