Venezuela advances towards a new post-rentier economic model

Venezuela registered in 2022 a growth above 15% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), stressed the head of State, ratifying the need to go towards 100% self-sufficiency in food production and convert the country into an exporter of this item to the world.

The national president stressed that in Venezuela work is being done to make possible the miracle of the growth of the real and productive economy, which creates goods and services to satisfy the needs of society and the Venezuelan family.

President Maduro also indicated that great goals have been achieved at the productive level in the country, however, the national government will not stop until “it sees Venezuela consolidated, with more prosperity, growth, and well-being for all.”

In addition, he maintained that “the first line of work for this 2023, is to consolidate economic growth with equality, which is aimed at transforming material conditions in favor of equity and inclusion, producing wealth to distribute it fairly.”
