“From these sacred places of the Macarao Indian Chief, we have seen the effective and operational capabilities of the Bolivarian National Guard, capabilities that are put to the test every day, in every field that is presented to us,” said the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, while instructing the military officers to be on permanent alert over any situation of aggression against the Homeland, with the aim of preserving the right to peace and guaranteeing the internal order of Venezuela.
“The Bolivarian National Guard must be on permanent alert, vigilant, so that our people can enjoy the right to security, peace, and harmony,” said the head of state, coinciding with M/G Elio Estrada, and ensure that “the objective is to guarantee and promote an action plan so that the GNB is increasingly capable, more efficient and to assert the doctrine of the civil-military union.”
President Nicolás Maduro congratulated the members of the GNB, “for the stellar and extraordinary role they have played in these 24 years of Revolution, and for everything they do for our people in the Bricomiles (civic-Military brigades), as the People’s Guard, for security, for the fight against criminal gangs, for the defense and custody of the nation.”
Five years after the assassination attempt:
Likewise, the national president recalled that on August 4, 2018, the government of then-Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, following instructions from the US government, chaired by Donald Trump, attempted to carry out an assassination that was frustrated:
“Five years have passed the first assassination attempt known in history by using drone technology.” Just as he also pointed out that, thanks to the investigations, the immediate capture of the material authors “and part of the intellectual authors” was achieved.
“Thanks to the investigations, it was found out who put the money, the drones, the explosive, in which part of Colombia they were being trained, and it became clear the intellectual authorship by the former, traitorous deputy to the Homeland, Julio Borges,” he highlighted.
