In order to reinforce the cohesion of the military corps and the consolidation of the process of strengthening the new organizational structure of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, appointed this Thursday new commanders of the Strategic Regions of Integral Defense (REDI), except for changes in REDI Los Andes, where Major General Manuel Enrique Castillo Rengifo was ratified.
During the act of Transmission of Command of the components of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the national President argued that “just as we have proceeded to the promotions today to the transmission of command of the components, I announce to the commanders of the Integral Defense Regions that I always, on this date, designate in the process of strengthening the new organizational structure of our Bolivarian National Armed Forces”.
In this sense, he pointed out that the new commander of REDI Capital is Major General Johan Alexander Hernández Lárez; in the REDI Central, Major General Orlando Ramón Romero Bolívar; in REDI Guayana, Major General Rafael David Prieto Martínez; in Western REDI Admiral Alejandro Rafael Díaz Espinosa.
Likewise, as a member of the Insular Maritime Integral Defense Region, Admiral Ashraf Suleiman Gutiérrez; the commander for the REDI Los Llanos (Plains region) to Major General Lenin Lorenzo Ramírez Villasmil; Major General Juan Ernesto Sulbaran Quintero was appointed as Commander of the Eastern region REDI, and Major General Manuel Enrique Castillo Rengifo was ratified as commander of the Los Andes region REDI.
The new commander of the Integral Aerospace Defense Command (Codai) is Major General José Luís Tremón Jiménez.
“I wish everyone the best of luck, I demand the greatest loyalty from you,” said the Venezuelan head of state.
