COVID: Venezuela registered 71 new cases in the last 24 hours

A total of 71 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the last 24 hours, of which 38 are due to community transmission and 33 imported cases, for a total of 547,962 confirmed cumulative cases to date.

This was announced this Tuesday by the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, during the usual daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19, through her account on the Twitter social network, @delcyrodriguezv.

The community cases are located mostly in the states: Zulia (17), Anzoátegui (6), Miranda (5), Bolívar (3) and Caracas (2).

On day 996 since the pandemic arrived in Venezuela, the country registers 5,829 as the total number of deceases. The number of recovered patients is 541,054 and there are 1,079 current active cases.
