The Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, rejected this Friday the statements issued by foreign governments in clear interference against the sovereignty and independence of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The Chancellor drew a parallel between these current interferences, and the hostile diplomatic moves perpetrated against the nation in 2019:
«The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects in the strongest terms the rude and insolent statement of the governments of Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, the United States, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay,» stated Gil, while communicating that these countries intend to emulate the failed Lima Group and continue with the transgressions of international law.
“Venezuela demands absolute respect for its sovereignty and independence, won after intense struggles against the most hostile empires, which insist on getting their hands on human resources that do not belong to them,” said Gil, while warning that “these predatory powers are trying to impose a policy of regime change again today.”
On the other hand, he indicated that these governments endorse the post-electoral violence that hit Venezuelan territory between July 29 and August 2, which attacked health centers, education, security, transportation and national symbols, by means of national and transnational gangs. Finally, he assured that “Venezuela on this occasion, will pulverize each and every one of the actions that its failed governments try to impose against the Venezuelan people.”
