Monday marked the 455th anniversary of the birth of the city of Caracas, for this reason the mayor, Carmen Meléndez, reported that the commemorative week of the Venezuelan capital begins, in which special activities and multiple cultural and musical presentations can be enjoyed in different spaces:
“It’s 455 years of Caracas, full of life from our original peoples, so we must never forget where we come from; The blood of the caciques runs through our veins,” said Meléndez.
Together with the head of government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, the mayor of Caracas indicated that in order to celebrate such an important date some activities have begun, including the swearing-in of environmental prosecutors who will enforce the ordinances that have to do with urban sanitation, as well as the execution of several works, including the recovery of more than 730 health modules, which will be equipped with medicines, supplies and doctors in the 22 capital parishes.
