AN approves Organic Law of Special Economic Zones

This Thursday during the ordinary session of the National Assembly (AN), was approved the Law of Special Economic Zones, with the goal that this instrument will allow to promote direct investment in the country that contributes to the recovery process of the national economic system.

The project was presented by the vice-president of the Permanent Commission of Economy, Finances and National Development of the AN, Nicolás Maduro Guerra, who highlighted that through this initiative it seeks to implement a legal investment scheme that, within the framework of the principles of economic sovereignty, independence, self-determination, co-responsibility, solidarity, and transparency, is capable of granting sufficient conditions of legal security against the international blockade, in order to form a new design for economic development.

For his part, the president of the AN, Jorge Rodríguez, urged the deputies of the Commission of Economy, Finances and National Development to spread out throughout the national territory to carry out the consultation on the Organic Law Project of Special Economic Zones.
