Venezuelan oil price slightly exceeds $88 per barrel

The Merey crude, an international reference for Venezuelan oil, returns to a monthly average price above 88 dollars a barrel for the second time in 2022.

The data provided by the Bolivarian government to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) show an increase of 5.6% in May compared to the April price, according to media specialists in economics.

The OPEC report shows that the Merey price reached the level of 88.07 dollars per barrel during the fifth month of 2022, slightly lower than the March record of 88.12 dollars
