AN swore in deputies of the Preliminary Commission of the Judicial Nominations Committee

This Tuesday, the National Assembly (AN) swore in the 11 deputies of the Preliminary Commission of the Judicial Nominations Committee, who, along with 10 citizens from the civil society, are responsible for appointing the 20 magistrates of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), the General Inspector of Courts and the director of the National School of the Judiciary.

Took sacred swearing before the AN planary deputies Giuseppe Alessandrello (president), José Gregorio Correa (vice president), Gladys Requena, Rosa León, José Oscar Villarroel, Julio García Zerpa, Carolina Cestari, Francisco Torrealba, Luis Parra, Timoteo Zambrano and Alfonso Campos.

After the swearing-in, the president of the AN, deputy Jorge Rodríguez, urged the deputies to comply with the Organic Law of the TSJ, recently reformed, to apply what was contemplated by the judicial revolution.

The swearing-in is framed in article 270 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (CRBV), in accordance with articles 64, 65, 67 and 58 of the Organic Law of the TSJ.
