Cilia Flores: TSJ ruling safeguards the nation from a continued coup d' etat

With the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) to the National Assembly (AN) – with a right wing majority – to refrain from continuing the political trial (impeachment) of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, a procedure that is not contemplated in the Constitution, the highest court seeks to prevent the progress of a continuing coup d’ etat that the right wing promotes from the Parliament, said the first fighter woman, Cilia Flores.
“There is a firm decision that was issued by the highest court of the Supreme Court of Justice in its Constitutional Chamber; what remains now is to proceed to abide by the decision by all the powers,” affirmed Flores in her radio program “Decisiones” (Decisions), along with constitutional lawyer Elvis Amoroso, broadcast this Thursday by Radio Miraflores.
In this space, the first Fighter Woman added that the attributions of the NA are well defined, so “they can not exceed or encroach on duties, nor can violate the Constitution.”
Flores explained that the TSJ’s decision is, for the time being, a precautionary measure, and what follows is to be pronounced in order to establish responsibilities in those who have violated the Constitution.
She also indicated that the Attorney General of the Republic, by introducing a protection resource to the Supreme Court, in defense of the Constitution and the democratic order of the country, also acted so that the Rule of Law is respected in safeguard to the peace of the Republic and the stability of the nation before the actions of the parliamentary right wing, which remains outside the laws of the nation.
“We must safeguard the peace of the Republic and the stability of the nation,” insisted Flores.
To overcome the situation of disrespect:
In the radio program, Cilia Flores and Elvis Amoroso recalled that the overcoming of the situation of disrespect of the constitutional order by the NA, with a right wing majority, is one of the agreements signed by opposition sectors and the Government at the table of national dialogue, in function of the peace of the country.
To this regard, Elvis Amoroso explained that this task not only involves the divestiture of three deputies from Amazonas state, whose election is in the process of challenging due to an alleged fraud, but also to render as ineffective the swearing in of these people.
The lawyer and ex-parliamentarian also acknowledged the commitment of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, with the promotion of dialogue, a task that led to the establishment of dialogue between the Executive and the opposition in order to advance the defense of stability.
“We Venezuelans like peace, harmony, and we have to get into the channel for the dialogue of all Venezuelans,” he added.
