AN approved law to eradicate sexual abuse against girls, boys and adolescents

The Law for the Prevention and Eradication of Sexual Abuse against Girls, Boys and Adolescents was unanimously approved by the National Assembly, in the ordinary session corresponding to this Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

Deputy Asia Villegas, reported that the AN carried out more than six thousand popular consultations, and affirmed that sexual abuse against children and adolescents is a cruel and inhuman crime that must cease to be a taboo subject, to become a subject strategic national, prevent and punish in its maximum expression those who attempt against minors.

In the session was also approved in first discussion the Bill approving the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer, and was deferred by a qualified majority the second discussion of the Bill for the Promotion and Use of Language with a Gender Focus.
