Regarding the Expanded Security Council, which met this Saturday at Miraflores Palace, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed to supervise the proper functioning of the Safe Christmas 2023 Plan to guarantee the right to security and citizen peace:
“We must monitor the proper functioning of the Safe Christmas Plan to protect our people in all spaces and so that people feel the protection of the official,” he pointed out, from the Ayacucho Hall.
The also commander in chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) ordered the commanders of the Strategic Integral Defense Regions (REDI) and the Integral Defense Operational Zones (ZODI) to remain alert “in a permanent plan of peace and security, a plan to take care of security, the right to happiness.”
In this regard, he reiterated the need to continue to be vigilant against the attempts of extremist sectors to disrupt national stability:
“Let no one dare to interfere with the safety and happiness of the people; and whoever dares takes immediate action for justice, security and peace,” he stated.
Activated this Friday, December 15, the Safe Christmas Plan 2023 is made up of 155,000 members of citizen security organizations, who will remain deployed in the national territory to ensure the safety of Venezuelans during the Christmas season.
Likewise, in a joint strategy with governors and mayors, eight Peace Quadrants will remain operational on the main road arteries of the country.
The Safe Christmas 2023 Plan has more than 3,000 vehicles, 6,695 motorcycles, 503 ambulances, 17 aircraft, 184 boats and vessels, as well as 567 special rescue and firefighting vehicles. Likewise, it will have more than 500 medical and emergency outposts and 1,461 road control points available.
