Maduro: The new 2021-2022 school term starts on September 16

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Tuesday that next Thursday, September 16, the new2021-2022 school term begins with the preparation of teaching staff, parents and representatives for the start of face-to-face classes in October.

During his participation in the commemorative act for the 18 years of (educational) Mission Sucre, the Head of State assured that through a work plan prepared by the Ministry of People’s Power for Education, classroom activities will begin in October:

He reminded that return to classes will be carried out progressively under the 7 + 7 scheme, in order to gradually integrate students and teachers into the country’s classrooms.

He instructed the authorities of the educational area to expand all the information on the action plan for the return to school: “This program, which has 10 lines of action, will be explained to parents, representatives, teachers, student federations and the entire university sector”, he said.

In the same way, he urged all instances and sectors of national life to give support to the Minister for Education, Yelitze Santaella, in order to specify the return to classes in a harmonious and effective manner, guaranteeing the vaccination of all educational personnel throughout the country.

In this regard, he announced that vaccines for the immunization of children between 3 and 12 years old will arrive in the country at the end of this September.
