Remains of General Manuel Piar will be brought to the National Pantheon


The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Sunday the incorporation of the immortal remains of General Manuel Piar, the hero of the Independence of Venezuela, to the National Pantheon.

“That great liberator of the south, a liberator leader of the peoples of the south … to the Pantheon. Honor and glory to Manuel Piar”, said the Head of State from the Siderúrgica del Orinoco (Orinoco Steel Company – SIDOR), in Bolivar state, where he made his program” Los Domingos con Maduro ” (Sundays with Maduro).

In addition to this, were approved 2,700 million bolivars to build the Manuel Piar General Municipal Theater in Ciudad Guayana, Bolivar state, which will have a capacity of 1,500 people.

In that sense, he instructed the Executive Vice President, Tareck El Aissami, to immediately deliver the resources to start the works.

“You have all the support for this public work, for culture, for art, for singing, for the spiritual life of Ciudad Guayana, we will do it with force,” said the National President.
