Venezuela celebrates Cuba’s National Rebellion Day

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, greeted the brotherly people and Government of the Republic of Cuba, on the 68th anniversary of July 26, commemoration of the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, Day of the National Rebellion.

Through a statement, Venezuela stated that as Fidel said and was taught by the Moncada, Cuba continues to turn “setbacks into victories”: “Cuban science, its international medical brigades and its successful vaccine candidates against COVID-19 are examples of it”, reads the communiqué.

The Venezuelan head of state, Nicolás Maduro, acknowledged that Cuba, amidst the adversity of the pandemic, faces with conviction and patriotism a new imperialist onslaught.

Once again, Venezuela is twinning with Cuba in this hour of struggle and calls on the world to raise its voice in defense of the sovereign right to life and peace of the Cuban people.
