The Presidential Commission for the Prevention, Care and Control of the pandemic reported 1,117 new infections by Covid-19, 1,102 cases by community transmission and 15 imported cases.
The executive vice president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that Aragua state is the entity where the most community cases were detected, 155 in 11 municipalities, (followed by) Falcón state (149 cases), Nueva Esparta (123 cases) and Lara state (100 cases).
Through her account on the Twitter social network, @delcyrodeiguezv, the vice president lamented the death by Coronavirus, of 17 Venezuelan adults and elders.
Venezuela counts 494 days of pandemic and the statistics show that the total number of infections is 296,863, with 280,269 patients recovered, 13,151 current active cases, and the number of deaths is 3,443.
