FANB rejected visit of Chief of the Southern Command to border area with Venezuela

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) rejected the visit to Colombia of Admiral Craig Faller, head of the United States Southern Command.

General-in-chief Vladimir Padrino López, through a statement, repudiated Faller’s presence in the region bordering Venezuela, stated that the visit was not due to reasons of bilateral cooperation in security and defense matters with the neighboring country, but one that constitutes an act of interference and provocation on the part of the North American empire.

The FANB will remain vigilant to guarantee the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of the homeland.

While the Chief of the Southern Command visits Puerto Carreño in Colombia, Tradewinds 2021 exercises are being held in Guyana with the presence of the US military. (Is it) Casual? It should only be seen as an interventionist act amidst the systematic destabilization against Venezuela”.
