Nicolás Maduro extended his congratulations to the new rectors of the Electoral Power

This Wednesday, May 5, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the new rectors of the Electoral Power and gave them all his support as Head of State, so he said in the act of relaunching and re-driving the Gran Misión Chamba Juvenil (Great Mission Youth Job).

He also gave a few words of gratitude to the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, for the impeccable process of appointing the 15 principal and alternate rectors of the National Electoral Council (CNE):

I congratulate the board of directors of the AN for appointing the new National Electoral Council, it was a political agreement, discussed and approved by the sectors. In order for there to be a democracy, there must be a strong CNE with members of great professional prestige”, said the President.

The Head of State recalled that “for the first time since 2006 is held a complete and comprehensive election of the CNE rectors. I congratulate the new president of the CNE, Pedro Calzadilla, for his great work capacity, a great professional, with a great career and honesty”.

He also congratulated Vice President Enrique Márquez who “was vice president of the National Assembly during the 2015-2020 term, a deputy of the defunct Mesa de la Unidad” (Board of Unity – MUD).

He also extended his recognition to rectors Roberto Picón, Alexis Corredor and Tania D ’Amelio: “Because (between) them five will guarantee the electoral process in Venezuela for 7 years. You can count on all the support that I give as Head of State to the new electoral power. Now we go to the elections this year. May the one with the most votes win. A great step has been taken through the constitutional process of Venezuela”, said Maduro.
