Maduro: Aristóbulo Istúriz was a true forger of the New Homeland

The President of the Republic headed this Wednesday the official honors in the Burning Chapel to Professor Aristóbulo Istúriz, sector vice president for Territorial Socialism and Minister for Education, during which he conferred the Order of Liberators and Liberators of Venezuela in his first class to the outstanding leader and fighter of the revolutionary cause.

From the Elliptical Hall of the National Assembly, the national president recalled that Aristóbulo Istúriz was one of the main popular leaders, “a deputy of the then Causa R organization, a combatant deputy, the only voice in these spaces of the former Congress of the Fourth Republic where everything was complicity, corruption and hopelessness. It was Aristobulo who took the lead in the struggle of the massacred people”.

The “Orden Libertadores y Libertadoras de Venezuela” (Liberator men and women of Venezuela award) was received by the teacher’s wife, Dyanora Martínez and his daughter Rosiris José Istúriz Martínez, after rendering the corresponding honors. In the same way, the Head of State granted the post-mortem promotion to captain of the Bolivarian Militia and was given the replica of the Sword of the Liberator Simón Bolívar, to honor his tireless work in life for the causes of the people.

“Aristóbulo is the closest thing to Simón Rodríguez, to the teacher Robinson, in this 21st century, a man of faith, philosophy, doctrine and supreme intelligence, of deep thought”, reflected excited the President Nicolás Maduro, who recalled the social and policy of Istúriz: “consistent, loyal man, of strength and great humanity.”

In this sense, President Maduro recognized and thanked the support of the people before the departure of the teacher, “it is the most beautiful feeling that we can gather from human solidarity,” he commented in reference to the conference “A Flower for Professor Aristóbulo Istúriz” spontaneously held in every school in the country by the people to bring a rose to their teacher.

He also highlighted the participation of Aristóbulo Istúriz “as vice president, editor and defender of the only constitution in the history of Venezuela that has been consulted, voted on and approved by the people of Venezuela, that December 15, 1992.”

“Aristóbulo’s career was extraordinary as a grassroots popular leader, as a fighter for the cause of teachers, workers, as a revolutionary fighter, for a different homeland, a new homeland,” Maduro said.

President Nicolás Maduro was accompanied at the funeral and posthumous tribute by the first combatant, Cilia Flores, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez and the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, among other authorities of the national government and the public powers of the country.
