CNE published schedule for municipal elections

The National Electoral Council (CNE) published on its website the schedule of the National Electoral Board (JNE) for the elections of Municipal Councils, convened for Sunday, December 9, 2018.

According to what is established in the document, the special journeys of the Electoral Registry will be held between July 23 and August 23, and the installation of the Municipal Electoral Boards has been scheduled for September 9.

The inscription of candidates will be held between September 10 and 19, through the automated application system, while the presentation of the applications to the Municipal Electoral Board is expected between September 19 and 24.

The electoral fairs were scheduled for November 6 and they will run until December 7; and the simulation will be held on November 11.

As reflected in the electoral schedule, the campaign will begin on November 22 and will run until December 7.

On December 9 will be elected 4,900 charges of councilors and councilors, with their respective alternates. Of this universe, 1,703 will be elected nominally, 685 by lists and 69 representing the indigenous communities.
