Venezuela acknowledges OPEC’s leadership to stabilize market

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela acknowledges the leadership of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to achieve the recovery and stability of the world’s oil market.

The Vice-President for the Economic Area and Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, participated in the 181st Meeting of the OPEC Conference, where he vindicated the progress that has been made to overcome the onslaught caused by the pandemic within the framework of the Declaration of Cooperation.

During the virtual meeting, attended by ministers, secretaries and heads of delegations from several countries, Venezuela highlighted the importance of working together with other nations in order to recover the post-pandemic economy.
