COVID: Presidential Commission reports 1,009 cases in the last 24 hours

1,009 new infections by Covid-19 has registered Venezuela in the last 24 hours. The information was provided by Freddy Ñañez, Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information.

Via Twitter, Ñañez indicated that 2 cases are imported from Mexico and Bolivia, and the rest of cases are community infections,

Yaracuy state leads the figures with the highest number of infections with 230, followed by La Guaira with 172 and Caracas with 74.

Currently, Venezuela accumulates a total of 186,745 confirmed cases, 169,685 people recovered, 15,095 active cases, 14,569 patients treated in the public health system and 526 in clinics.

7,979 patients are asymptomatic, 6,210 with mild acute respiratory failure, 613 with moderate acute and 293 in intensive care units.

Unfortunately, in the last 24 hours, 21 Venezuelans died, increasing the number to 1,965.

The Bolivarian Government urges the entire population to continue complying with the radical quarantine and biosafety measures, to cut the chains of infections.
