President Nicolás Maduro called to strengthen anti-Covid 19 vaccination

Within the framework of the plenary session of the Federal Government Council, CFG, held this Monday at Miraflores Palace, President Nicolás Maduro urged governors across the country to strengthen vaccination mechanisms against covid-19.

He acknowledged that the Ómicron variant has had a significant impact on the growth of cases: “We have a significant growth of the coronavirus, we went from 5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to 42 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (…) We do not know how new variants can arise, nor their level of lethality”, said the national president.

Alert: Ómicron causes pericarditis:

In this sense, he warned that the Omicron variant is causing pericarditis in 50% of patients who suffer from it: “We must prepare ourselves to deal with this,” he emphasized.

However, he reiterated that the Venezuelan people have the vaccines and the best treatments against Covid, despite the criminal blockade maintained by the United States government against Venezuela:

“By circumventing the blockade, the best treatments in the world today are in Venezuela. We have proven it!” He emphasized.
