Venezuela creates International Center with the Anti-Blockade Law to protect large-scale productive investments

The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced on Tuesday that President Nicolás Maduro decided to create an International Center with the Anti-Blockade Law to protect large-scale productive investments.

Through her intervention in a videoconference with the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the country to publicize the Constitutional Anti-Blockage Law, Vice President Rodríguez explained that this International Center will have a basket of projects that will be presented for international investment, projects in the oil, mining, gas, agriculture, tourism areas, and all the areas where Venezuela has great potential to generate large-scale investment.

She explained that this center will also have an observatory of coercive and unilateral measures, so that the country is aware of each illegal sanction issued by the United States Government, which negatively impact the people, and that, therefore, seeks to protect of those illegal measures to the population.

In addition, this center will have the Instituto Marca País (Country Brand Institute), in defense and promotion of the products of Venezuela and the identity of the people.

Likewise, she pointed out that Venezuela at this juncture has decided to take a step forward with an economic offensive translated into this Constitutional Anti-Blockade Law, which seeks to stop all aggressions by the North American empire.

She added that it is aimed at guaranteeing the human rights of the Venezuelan people, protecting the country’s investments and national and international assets. “We have given enough proof that Venezuela will not surrender,” he said.

On the other hand, she recalled that in 1998 when Commander Hugo Chávez won and when he took command, he devoted to the construction of the socialist model, which strengthens social equality.

She emphasized that the Venezuelan model between 2015 and 2019 had broad international acknowledgement, a period in which the country was recognized by the FAO in the fight against hunger, they even took part of the social policies on food, becoming into the Hugo Chávez FAO program, to take these policies as an example to follow in other countries.

She insisted on that Venezuela was also recognized by Unicef for the impact of its Orchestras System, unique in the world, where today more than 1 million children participate and are protagonists of the right to music for free.

“This socialist model was internationally acknowledged. We were recognized by UNESCO for being a territory free of illiteracy. Venezuela is also declared by the United Nations Organization (UNO) as a territory free of drugs and illicit crops of any kind”, she said.

She pointed out that Venezuela in 2018 was deserved with the Habitat award in recognition of the Great Mission Housing Venezuela (GMVV), a model that was built on the basis of the oil income, the foreign currency income that the country had and that was more than 800.000 million dollars, which were invested for the national and social development of Venezuela:

“The Venezuelan model is about social inclusion, justice and social equality, for which we have had wide international recognition. The socialist model was also recognized by other international institutions and organizations for its social demands. Now, the Monroe model was imposed since 2016 in the White House before this Bolivarian process”, she denounced.

Rodríguez recalled that in 2015 appeared the declaration of former President Barack Obama and the designation of Venezuela as an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security of the US.

“Since 2015 we are facing sanctions and now this subhuman blockade. The US, wants to suffocate Venezuela. Furthermore, we are facing this COVID-19 pandemic with these conditions of lesser humanity,” added the Executive Vice President.

She assured that in the last 6 years, Venezuela, as a result of this terrible criminal, economic and financial blockade, has lost 99% of its income in the world, product of coercive and unilateral measures that seek to extort sovereignty and change the opinion of a people, but the background is to appropriate the immense wealth that Venezuela has.

For his part, the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, explained to the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the country that the Anti-Blockade Law was presented by President Nicolás Maduro before the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), which was recently debated and approved.

“The Anti-Blockade Law will allow us to confront the continued economic aggression that from the United States, which has been designed to hinder the development of the Venezuelan economy,” said Arreaza.

He emphasized that the Anti-Blockade Law promotes investments in Venezuela, guarantees legal security and information to the investors in the country, so that they may have clarity, for the international openings under a national legal order and with the very peculiar characteristics of this law that will make it very useful for the commercial relationship, for the investment relationship between Venezuela and other countries.
