A total of 1,115 new cases of contagion by COVID-19, of which 1,114 are of community transmission and 1 imported case, were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, raising the accumulated total of positives to 170,189, while the recovery rate remains at 91 percent of the total cases with 154,023 patients healed, thanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.
This was announced on Wednesday by the sectoral vice president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, during the customary daily balance of the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19 from Caracas.
Community cases were detected in 20 states: Caracas (184), Yaracuy (154), Miranda (112), Lara (93), Falcón (90), Mérida (89), Monagas (83), Bolívar (68), Nueva Esparta (52), Carabobo (48), Zulia (32), Cojedes (23), Apure (20), Barinas (20), Anzoátegui (20), Portuguesa (14), Los Roques (7), Aragua (4), Trujillo (3), La Guaira (2):
The Capital District is the entity where the highest number of new community cases is registered today, with active infections in 21 of its 22 parishes. The only imported case is one (1) man from Mexico, entering through La Guaira state.
Unfortunately, he announced the death of twelve (12) new victims of COVID-19, for a total of 1,705:
3 men of 64, 71, 78 years old and 2 women of 58 and 89 years old from Caracas
A woman of 76 years and 2 men, 53 and 56 years old, from Miranda
2 men aged 60 and 71 from Yaracuy
A 64-year-old man from Aragua and a 54-year-old man from Monagas
